All Pros are USPTA certified and well versed in instruction for all ages and play levels.

Spearman Clubs Director of Tennis, CEO

Director of Tennis for LNRC and TCMB for 18 years. Varsity Girls coach at Dana Hills High School, on the advisory staff for Head and Adidas, All-American and Hall of Fame at Cal Lutheran University, top 500 on the ATP tour.

Asst. Director of Tennis

Brandon, a seasoned coach with expertise in player development, strategy, and technique. He became one of Southern California’s top junior players, earning a #5 ranking in the Boys 18s division, and went on to play #1 singles and doubles at Cal Poly SLO after transferring from UNLV. Brandon competed professionally on the ATP circuit, with a career-high ranking of 893 and playing in 33 countries.

Director of Junior Tennis

Head Pro and Director of Junior Tennis, USPTA Pro 1, former #1 collegiate player and college head coach. Greg trains juniors of all ages and levels, from the beginner to the aspiring professional. Teaching for the past 15 years.

Tennis professional

With over 30 years of experience, Ian is a highly accomplished tennis professional. Ranked in the top 30 Southern California juniors and top 64 nationally in college, he also competed on the Pacific Northwest Satellite Tour, reaching #5. Ian taught tennis in the Czech Republic in 1994, gaining valuable international experience. From 1994 to 2014, he served as Tennis Pro at Bend Golf and Country Club. A certified USPTA professional, Ian now inspires players of all levels at Spearman Clubs.

Tennis Professional

Barry is a certified WTS (Washington Tennis Services) and USPTA PRO 1 professional with an extensive tennis career. Ranked #1 in NAIA District III and a competitor on the European Satellite Circuit, he has showcased elite skills on the global stage. Since 1983, Barry has been a full-time tennis instructor, bringing over four decades of expertise to the court. He has been an integral part of the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club since 1986, where he continues to inspire and develop players of all levels.

Tennis Professional

Devon began playing tennis in 2014 and quickly became an All-American at Eastern Washington University. He transitioned to full-time coaching in 2019 and advanced to Junior Tennis Director at Pacific Palisades Tennis Center. In 2021, he joined Lifetime Tennis in San Clemente before bringing his expertise to LNRC. A certified USPTA coach, Devon is dedicated to developing players at all levels.

Tennis Professional

RSPA since 1988, assistant coach at UNLV and coached abroad in Canada, Germany, Malaysia. Former All-American at UC Santa Cruz and professional player in Europe.He focuses on development and breaks down each stroke for picture perfect form. He is knowledgeable in body alignment and ensures your overall body health is working together to enhance your tennis performance.

Tennis Professional

Hector is an accomplished coach with expertise in peak performance, modern techniques, core fundamentals, and dynamic fitness. His high-energy, physics-based approach has produced top ATP, NCAA, ITF, and USTA champions. Hector coached American phenom Alex Michelsen (ATP #41), the fastest-rising American. With international playing experience and coaching stints in South America, Europe, and the U.S., Hector’s results-driven, accountability-based methods are ideal for players of all levels.

Tennis Professional

Jen is a highly accomplished tennis professional, ranked #1 in Southern California in both Women's 40 Singles and Mixed Doubles alongside her husband, John. Named USPTA Pro of the Year in 1998, she has built an impressive career, including a standout collegiate career at Long Beach State University where she played #1 singles and doubles. With over 12 years of coaching experience in Laguna, Jen brings expertise, dedication, and a love for the game to every player she mentors.

Jr. Tennis Head Pro

Hessam is a dedicated coach specializing in junior team tennis and private lessons for all levels. With a strong focus on developing both the mental and physical aspects of the game and years of experience working with athletes, Hessam strives to enhance their performance by building mental resilience, refining physical skills, and fostering a deep understanding of the game. He combines strategic coaching with a holistic approach and has a USPTA level 3 certification. He won the ‘Coach of the Year’ award in OC for Socal 23-24'.

Match Arrangement Specialist

Mina is a dedicated tennis coach who works with league teams and plays alongside the ladies. She leads specialized clinics focused on doubles strategy and overall performance, helping players refine their skills and prepare for competitive play. With a commitment to enhancing both strategy and confidence, Mina ensures her players are ready for success on the court.

Tennis Concierge

Morgan grew up playing at LNRC, where her passion for tennis began. She went on to play competitively at Chapman University for two years, further honing her skills and love for the game. Passionate about both tennis and the sense of community it fosters, Morgan returned to her home club to help create an inclusive and welcoming environment where members can enjoy the sport and build lasting connections. She is ready to help you get plugged into our tennis programs, league and clinics.

Fitness Director

Stacey is an ACE and ACSM certified personal trainer and health coach, recently certified in golf fitness training with Orange Whip Golf (GFX). She has a Master’s degree in Physical Education and extensive experience in fitness, working with clients on sports performance, weight loss, rehabilitation, and high-risk health conditions. Stacey tailors exercise plans to individual goals and keeps up with the latest fitness trends.

Maria Smith
Fitness - Boot Camp Instructor

Maria is a long time LNRC member who played #1 for the University of California at Irvine on a tennis scholarship while earning her degree in Social Science. She enjoys working with all ages and abilities and emphasizes a positive and "encour-aging" approach when helping clients meet their fitness goals.

Holly Briscoe
Pilates and Spin Instructor

Holly grew up in Laguna Beach and is an AFAA, AAAI/ISMA and TRX certified fitness instructor. She also specializes in Spinning, Body Sculpt, Yoga and Pilates.

Linda Mulvaney
Spin Instructor

Linda received her spin certification through Reebok and received additional training from an ACE. Linda has been teaching spin classes at Laguna Niguel Racquet Club since 1999. She is also the original instructor at Spearman Clubs.

Suzanne Klee
Spin Instructor

Johnny G trained and certified, she has over 20 years of experience teaching indoor cycling classes for endurance athletes. Her 60-minute high-intensity group spin classes focus on increasing cardio fitness through timed intervals that include sprints, squats, lunges, and tension climbs, all set to energetic music. Each class begins with a warm-up and ends with a cool-down, welcoming participants of all levels who can adjust the pace to suit their needs. Prepare to sweat!

Veena Grover
Yoga Instructor

Since 2003, she has been with the LNRC Sports Club in California and is a certified instructor in Taekwondo and Ananda Yoga. Originally from India, she taught psychology and Kundalini yoga before moving to the U.S. A lifelong learner, she trained at the American Taekwondo Academy, earning first and second-degree black belts in Taekwondo. As a professional coach in Ananda Yoga, she emphasizes joy, inner awareness, breath energy, and relaxation.

Natasha Sullivan
Yoga and Zumba Instructor

Natasha is an experienced Zumba and yoga teacher. She loves to dance: after years of ballroom dancing, she discovered Zumba and became an instructor. Over the years, she also added specialties in Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, and Aqua Zumba. Another passion of hers is yoga. A long-time yoga enthusiast, in 2015 she completed a 200H yoga teacher training and started teaching. Her motto: "Time is precious, do what you love to do. Find a workout that you enjoy and have fun with it on and off your yoga mat.

Judy Garman
Yoga Instructor

Colombian born, Judy has practiced yoga all of her life. In 2007 she earned her teaching certification in Manchester, Connecticut at Samadhi Yoga Studio. She has been teaching ever since. She continues to deepen her knowledge and experience through formal study and practice. Judy has participated in numerous workshops given by very talented recognized teachers such as Tias Little, Sri Dharma Mittra, James O’leary and many others. Judy incorporates in her classes a creative blend of yoga styles and traditions that include Ashtanga, Iyengar, Hatha, Yin and Restorative. She offers modification of postures to accommodate all levels of yoga in her classes.

Meg Price
Spin and Sculpt Instructor

Over twenty years ago, Meg began teaching spin and group fitness classes at a tiny gym in Capistrano Beach while getting her teaching credential at Cal State San Marcos. Eventually she ended up buying the gym taught at and got her certification in Personal Training, ACE, AFFAa and Johnny G spin certificates. She continued teaching at several gyms while starting a career at Avalon Environmental, where she currently works. She is passionate and loves teaching fitness classes, going to the beach, watching her daughter play soccer and spending time on her boyfriend's boat.

Beth Upp
Group Instructor

Beth started dancing at 4 years old and has had a passion for dance and fitness since then. She was certified at Sweatstar Yoga where you are taught that yoga is an everyday practice for everyday people. She herself practices daily and guides Sculpt/Shred, Hot Power Fusion, Vinyasa and matte Pilates/barre. Her goal as a teacher is to empower the people around her and in the community to live the life they love. Another focus is to remind students that your one hour class might be your only “you time” that day so make the most of it!

Whether you’re an athlete striving for peak performance or someone looking to improve overall health and wellness, my personalized training programs are designed to build strength, mobility, and endurance. Personal Trainer / Group Instructor

Over 15 years of training including, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, Kung Fu, Tung Soo Do, to MMA, for Miki Garcia, it was always more than just a workout. Throughout her 30’s, she fought in amateur local tournaments, mostly stand-up Muay Thai kickboxing, which in-turn she found her purpose as a coach, sharing her years of hard work and love of the sport and showing others how to turn it into a lifestyle. She’s now a well versed self defense fitness trainer. While teaching her Fierce-HIIT boot camps she brings a wealth of knowledge while keeping her classes fully engaged and energized. All ages are welcome.

Allison has been a competitive swimmer since age 4, participating in district championships and the 2013 Junior Olympics. With 6 years of lifeguarding experience and 7 years of coaching, she teaches swimmers from ages 6 months and up, including triathlon training and adult swim clubs. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in Nutrition & Dietetics from Arkansas State University and has been a registered dietitian since 2020, currently working at 3 OC hospitals in the ICU and outpatient settings, counseling patients with various health conditions.

Personal Trainer

Devin fell in love with exercise six years ago. He believes working out and eating healthy are keys to success. Devin’s certification is in bodybuilding, specializing in strength development, but he loves all types of training. When Devin isn’t in the gym or busy with school where he’s pursuing a business major, he enjoys playing golf and recently just started getting into tennis.

Personal Trainer

Athena is a NASM Certified Personal Trainer with expertise in strength and conditioning, group fitness, and exercise science. Passionate about fitness, she specializes in creating personalized workout plans for weight loss, muscle gain, injury rehabilitation, and sport-specific training. Athena is dedicated to helping clients of all ages and fitness levels reach their goals through a supportive, motivational approach. Always staying current with the latest fitness trends, she ensures her clients receive expert guidance to achieve lasting success.
