Mark Spearman is the current Director of Tennis for LNRC/TCMB. He has been at the helm for 18 years….He is the current Varsity Girls coach at Dana Hills High School, which won the CIF div 1 championship in 2007. He is on Head and Adidas Advisory staffs and coaches all levels of adults and children, which include sectional and national ranked juniors. He is married to his wife Dorene, an active member of the tennis leagues and has three children – Cameron, Katie and Cassidy…all who are tennis players. Before LNRC, Mark was an All-American at Cal Lutheran University and briefly played the ATP tour with his ranking getting to 650 in the world.
Greg Johnson is the Head Pro and Director of Junior Tennis. A USPTA Pro 1, former #1 collegiate player and college head coach, Greg trains juniors of all ages and levels, from the beginner to the aspiring professional. Greg has been teaching for the past 15 years. He currently coaches sectional and national ranked juniors and has developed many who have gone on to play at the collegiate level. He is married to Randi, and has three daughters, Raya, Ella & Mia.
Steve Mumford is celebrating his twenty-sixth year as a full time tennis instructor/coach with Spearman Clubs. His prior coaching experience was with the cities of Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Orange, Yorba Linda and Irvine. Steve also coached at Rancho Park in Los Angeles, The La Habra Tennis Center, The Sunny Hills Racquet Club and the AFRC in Garmisch-Partenkirken, West Germany.
Prior to beginning with Spearman Industries, Steve was the Western United States Sales Manager for Rossingnol Tennis.

Certified by WTS (Washington Tennis Services), and USPTA PRO 1 (United States Professional Tennis Association). As a player, Barry was ranked in the top 10 every year in Southern California Junior and Men’s Open. Ranked #1 in the NAIA District lll. Played the European Satellite (Futures) circuit. Barry has been teaching full time since 1983 and has been at the Laguna Niguel Racquet Club since 1986.
Hector has been an Assistant Pro at LNRC for over six years. He started as a Junior Assistant Pro and a counselor at the summer tennis camp. Hector is now the Assistant Director of the Summer Camp and teaches full-time private and group lessons. He comes to us after playing in high school and college for Saddleback and Chapman University. He is currently on the Prince Staff and a member of the PTR.
Jennifer is ranked #1 in Southern California in women’s 40 singles and 40 mixed doubles with husband John. For her tennis accomplishments she was elected honorary chairperson at the 2007 Queen of Hearts Tennis Tournament. In 1998, Jennifer was selected USPTA Pro of the Year. She attended college at Long Beach State University where she played #1 in singles and doubles. Jennifer has been teaching tennis at Laguna Niguel and Monarch Beach for the past 12 years.
Since graduating from college in 2005, Kate still has a passion for the sport and has focused on developing juniors’ and adults’ games. She has played and competed for over 20 years and knows what it takes to be a successful tennis player. Mike Juul is a graduate of San Diego State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Religious Studies. Mike is USPTA certified, and has a background and experience in multiple sports. Mike currently focuses his energies teaching tennis for Laguna Niguel Racquet Club. In addition to private lessons, Mike assists the Director of Tennis, Mark Spearman, with the club’s summer camps, and also assists the club’s head pro, Greg Johnson, with the Elite junior tennis program. Mike is a highly motivated individual, and provides an extensive scope of knowledge of the game of tennis, while providing fun instruction.
